Sometimes inspiration for the artwork created by Craig S. Bomberger comes from nature; quotes; music or song lyrics; places, destinations and experiences; or the artists’ own dreams and imagination. The four featured artworks from February - April 2025 all center around the theme of “Arrive in 2025!” These are some of our most recently completed artworks; an accompanying artist statement or quote about the image accompanies each one!
This artwork was created on the last Sunday of Advent at The Journey Church in Harrisburg, PA. The background purple hue seemed to tie perfectly to the advent wreath, there are some pink tones as well as those that make me think of fire. The artwork and lighting of the Advent candle made think of a quote from James Keller, “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.”
