Sometimes inspiration for the artwork created by Craig S. Bomberger comes from nature; quotes; music or song lyrics; places, destinations and experiences; or the artists’ own dreams and imagination. The four featured artworks from August - October 2024 all center around the theme of “Heating Up.” We’ve been told we are having the coolest summer of our lives; but, are we adding to the heat as we try to be ‘cool’ about climate change?
The tile for this artwork is from scripture; Psalm 107: 35-36 reads:
"He turned the desert into pools of water
and the parched ground into flowing springs;
there he brought the hungry to live,
and they founded a city where they could settle."
We must ask ourselves are we not soon going to be a people of parched ground, too?
